I keep receiving error 999 general error message on yahoo im on my cell phone.?

when i try to send a message on yahoo im i get the message Error 999 General Error please try again. i tried to log out of im. i even deleted contact and application and tried it all from beginning again. nothing is helping. this has happened periodically but as of last nite, it has been constant. HELP!!!!
