Is there any way to back up texts on a Kin Two m?

I'm getting the Kin Two m tomorrow, and I've been reading up on it, and I read that there used to be a way to back up texts to your computer through a program called Kin Studio... But then Verizon shut that program down. Is there any alternative way of backing up texts to your computer? Also, keep in mind that texts apparently can't be forwarded to email on this phone.
